No one injured in early morning house fire

No one was injured, after a fire broke out in the 1200-block of Sandy Lane, Monroe Township early Wednesday, January 29. Responding to a call from the homeowner, Monroe Township, New Kingstown, Citizens, Carlisle Fire and Rescue and Union fire companies, Yellow Breeches EMS and fire police were dispatched to the scene around 8 a.m. According to Deputy Officer Christopher Wilkening, the fire is under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police, but it is not regarded as suspicious, and is believed to have started in the chimney flue.
