The Carroll Township Supervisors workshop meeting began with a correction to a TV news report about how the township is handling stormwater fees.
Channel 27 news incorrectly reported that Carroll Township has imposed a fee to cover the cost of MS4 regulations imposed on the township by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, said Chairman Andy Ritter.
“To this point we’ve taken no action, or even had any discussion to form a stormwater authority in the township or enact a fee,” Ritter said. He explained he had talked to the reporter and found the mistake was “an unfortunate misunderstanding between staff members at 27 News.”
In other business, supervisors discussed the possibility of moving away from a keyed entry system for the township building to an electronic one.
