It’s a mess out there: Winter Storm Liam spreads snow, ice, rain

</span>Winter Storm Liam brought a mix of snow, sleet, ice and rain to the midstate early Wednesday morning throughout the evening, creating difficult travel conditions and the closing of several schools and businesses.
Central Pennsylvania was under a winter weather advisory until 7 p.m. Feb. 7, Accuweather reported. Counties included in the advisory were Centre, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Mifflin, Juniata, Union, Snyder, Northumberland, Perry, Dauphin, Schuylkill, Lebanon, and Cumberland.
</span>Up to a quarter of an inch of ice was to be expected and anywhere from one to three inches of snow across the Lower Susquehanna Valley, with four to six inches expected near the Interstate 80 corridor and to the north, according to the National Weather Service.
</span>Snow turned to sleet before midday in the Dillsburg area and then to rain by noon. The high was near 34 degrees with southwest winds around 6 mph.

New plans for Rutter’s proposed expansion revealed

</span>New drawings were submitted at the Carroll Township work session held on Feb. 4 for the expansion of the existing building, new parking and re-configuration of the pumping station for Rutter’s Store, located on Rt. 15 and Gettysburg Pike, Dillsburg.
</span>Neil Metzker and Dan Rutter, a partner at Rutter’s, answered questions from board members at length regarding proposed changes. The original plan was turned down by the York County Planning Commission because of concerns regarding traffic congestion and parking issues. In the end, it was decided that Rutter’s would put together new drawings showing proposed suggestions.
