New plans for Rutter’s proposed expansion revealed

By Shirley A. Knight

</span>New drawings were submitted at the Carroll Township work session held on Feb. 4 for the expansion of the existing building, new parking and re-configuration of the pumping station for Rutter’s Store, located on Rt. 15 and Gettysburg Pike, Dillsburg.
</span>Neil Metzker and Dan Rutter, a partner at Rutter’s, answered questions from board members at length regarding proposed changes. The original plan was turned down by the York County Planning Commission because of concerns regarding traffic congestion and parking issues. In the end, it was decided that Rutter’s would put together new drawings showing proposed suggestions.

Lady Bears win again

By Curt Werner

</span>In one of their most complete games this season, the Northern H.S. Girls Varsity Basketball team defeated host Big Spring H.S. last Friday, 42-33. The Mid Penn Colonial tilt pushed the Lady Polar Bears to 8-4 in the Colonial and 13-7 overall.
</span>“We played solid defense all four quarters and Big Spring did not get the high percentage shots they are used to,” said head coach Paul Clendaniel. “We also handled their press with very few turnovers.”
