Say good-bye to Creek Rd. pedestrian bridge

By Shirley Knight

___At the Dec. 4 work session and after on-going discussions with officials representing Norfolk Southern, the condemned Creek Road Pedestrian Bridge will come down when the necessary paperwork is complete.
___ An official letter to Norfolk Southern is needed saying the bridge is to be demolished and reserving the right of Carroll Twp. to re-build it per railroad regulations in the future when and if it chooses to do so.

The Creek Road pedestrian bridge crossing over the Norfolk Southern railroad line, closed back in October, will be torn down. Carroll Township is seeking help to defray the $50,000 price tag for the demolition from the railroad conglomerate.
