Holy Spirit EMS, formerly West Shore EMS, will provide emergency medical ambulance service to the borough beginning in November. On Tuesday evening, The Dillsburg Borough Council authorized Council President John Richardson to sign a contract for service with Holy Spirit EMS.

Voting for the agreement were councilmen Jeff Griffin, Matt Fawber and David Baldwin. Councilmen Richardson and Mark Ryder abstained from voting, and Councilwoman Holly Kelley voted no. Councilman Hal Anderson was absent from the meeting; however, last month he voted in favor of the council pursuing the change.
