What started out to be a typical day on Tuesday, April 18, turned into a near disaster for Kelly Vasco, co-owner of the Pickle Nickel at 5 S. Baltimore Street.
It was business as usual for Vasco, who can multitask with the best of them. However on Tuesday, her routine - work in the restaurant, throw in a load of towels next door, go back to the restaurant, put laundry into the dryer, go back to the restaurant, take laundry out of the dryer - took a turn for the worse.
Trouble struck when Vasco walked to the back of the long hallway to take the items out of the dryer.
