Emergency personnel rarely encounter a ‘critical save’ – where they reach a person with no pulse and no signs of breathing and are able to revive that person and have them recover with no neurological damage. Only seven percent of victims in cardiac arrest survive.
On March 13, Franklintown Community Fire Company and the Advanced Life Support crew of Dillsburg Ambulance made Robin Troutman a part of that 7 percent when they responded to a call at his Franklintown Borough residence.
On Monday, January 9, Franklintown Fire Company First Responders and paramedics were honored for saving heart attack victim Robin Troutman. The event took place at the Carroll Township Meeting.
