Meet the owners of Miller’s Auto Sales & Service, Inc. Pictured from left are Adam, Robert and Dave Miller inside their showroom on Route 15. This year marks 35 years the family has been in the automotive business.

____ Robert Miller always knew he wanted to follow his daddy’s footsteps into the car business. Now, when the 31-year-old manager of service at Miller’s Auto Sales & Service, Inc. in Dillsburg looks at his three sons, he wonders if they represent the future of the family’s thriving business.
____ “Especially the 4 year old, he already shows an interest in cars. I tell people all the time, ‘My dad has been doing this for 35 years; I hope 35 years from now, I see my kids in here doing this too,’” said Robert, who with his brother, Adam Miller, are carrying Miller’s Auto Sales & Service, Inc. into its next decade.
____ “I knew from the time I was 10 that I wanted to do this,” Adam, 26, said. “Anytime my dad was called out to tow a car, I always wanted to go with him. I just always loved cars – and all the different varieties they come in.”
____ The boys’ father, Dave Miller, 55, who is cutting back his time in the shop as his sons take over, said he wasn’t surprised that his boys wanted to join him in business. They were always hanging around the shop as kids.

People sign in and pick up literature before the town hall meeting held last Thursday at Northern Middle School about the increase in heroin deaths in the area.

____ In 2014, York County experienced a 365 percent increase in the number of confirmed heroin-related deaths in York County, according to Coroner Pam Gay.
____ Gay, who was one of several speakers at a meeting sponsored by the Northern Republican Club last Thursday in the Northern Middle School auditorium, told an audience of about 100 people that there were 110 drug-related deaths last year. Gay said of that total, 62 were confirmed to have been caused by heroin.
____ “It is the No. 1 cause of traumatic death in York County,” Gay said, adding that this year so far, there have been two confirmed heroin-related deaths and two suspected heroin-related deaths. “Last year at this time, we had nine. We are cautiously optimistic...but, we'll have to wait and see...it's a little early to tell if we can contribute it (the decrease) to anything.”
____ While statistics objectively illustrate the toll heroin is taking in the area, “Danny's Story,” a You Tube video documentary narrated by Charlene Sciarretta of New Freedom, depicts the personal loss of the life of her son, Danny, who died more than 10 years ago from a heroin overdose. In the video, Sciarretta described her son as “an average guy.”

____ When the final whistle blows on Jonathan Ross's wrestling career, he wants to be remembered as the best.
____ Sure, it would be terrific to be remembered as the greatest wrestler in the state, district or even Northern school history, but at the end of the day, there is one place where the Polar Bears star would really like to be recognized as the best: The Ross household.
____ Ross, a junior, is the last of three brothers to go through the Northern wrestling program. He is following the path blazed by brothers Jared and Zach, who have collectively set the bar very high for their little brother.
____ After narrowly missing the PIAA Class AAA Championships in both his freshman and sophomore years, Ross finally gets to go to the big dance.
