____ Two accidents, 10 minutes and less than two miles apart, kept emergency responders busy in Franklin Township early Monday evening.
____ At 6:37 p.m. a 1998 Buick Century driven by Rosalyn Stoner, 65, of East Berlin was travelling on Route 15 north and attempting to turn onto Century Lane, when she drove into the path of a southbound 2011 Dodge Caliber driven by Wanda Little, 56, of Fairfield, Pa., according to Northern Regional police.
____ Stoner told police that she did not see the Dodge, which overturned after impact; Little said that there was no time for evasive action.
____ Dillsburg ambulance responded but neither woman was transported, police said. Both suffered minor injuries; Little’s hand was lacerated by the glass from the windshield when it shattered.
____ The second accident took a more serious turn. Both victims were transported to area hospitals.
____ A 13-year-old boy was flown by Stat MedEvac to Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment of his injuries and a 69-year old man was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.

Skid loader to be delivered in May
By Carolyn Hoffman
____Warrington Township supervisors reported their new skid loader will be delivered sometime in May. The new skid loader is anticipated to cost about $81,000, including the attachments ordered by the township. Warrington has enough money in its capital reserve fund to cover the cost and is expected to recoup some of the cost through the sale of the old grader and several other, smaller pieces of equipment.
____In other action at the April 17 session, supervisors reported that a representative from the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) visited the Kahl property along Detter’s Mill Rd. and told the township that they didn’t believe the property is eligible for the hazard mitigation fund. The Kahls attended the previous meeting of the supervisors to report they had been flooded out three times since 2006 and asked the township to help them apply for a buy-out. At that time, supervisors agreed as long as the process would not cost the township any money. Solicitor Don Hoyt sent a letter to PEMA as part of the pre-application process that had an April 10 deadline. However, since that meeting it was learned that the township would have to buy the property and demolish it, which supervisors are unwilling to do. The Kahls may continue with the application process on their own, if they choose.
