After purchasing the assets of Shillito Oil, Inc., Raymond Klix changed the company name to Shillito Oil Distribution Company and continued to operate out of the original location at the intersection of Route 74 and Williams Grove Road before closing shop.
____ Numerous customers who were using budget plans to pay for home heating fuel have learned they will not be getting a delivery from their distributor.
____ Jodi L. Parry, from the office of state Rep. Scott Perry (R-Dillsburg), said the representative’s office has received calls from customers of Shillito Oil Distribution Company, complaining they had prepaid for fuel oil but learned they will not be getting a delivery or a refund. The company, she said, has filed for bankruptcy, though that has yet to be confirmed.
____ “We had a lot of folks come into the office to complain and just had a new one yesterday (last week) who was still waiting for her oil delivery and had no idea what happened,” Parry said. “They have been expecting oil, but now they aren’t getting any.”
____ A spokesperson for District Justice Richard Thomas confirmed his office has received calls from customers who are seeking some type of legal recourse. While the district justice does handle civil complaints up to $12,000, it does not provide legal advice.

NYRA finishes 2011 season with success
The NYRA Peewees were the 2011 CFA National Conference Super Bowl runners-up.
____ NYRA Youth Football and Cheerleading ended their season on Nov. 20. Despite what seemed like never-ending rain, it was a great year for all of the players and cheerleaders involved.
____ The NYRA (Northern Youth Football Association) is a non-profit, recreational organization devoted to teaching and coaching football and cheerleading to children in the Dillsburg area. The NYRA consists of 200 participants ranging from ages 6-13. The NYRA has four squads based on the age and size of the participants: Smurfs, Peewees, Ponies and the oldest being Midgets. The NYRA belongs to the CFA league. This league is comprised of 18 teams that stretch from Perry County to Hershey and south to Northern.
____ The NYRA Smurf football squad, which consists of kids 6 and 7 years of age, played tough all season and dominated most of their opponents. On Oct. 29 and 30, the Smurf players and cheerleaders traveled to Cumberland Valley to take part in the CFA Smurf Super Bowl Tournament. Considering these games were played in the first winter snow storm of this year, Smurf teams from the area were playing in some rough conditions. Regardless of the weather, the NYRA Smurfs beat two teams in the tournament and were one win short of being named the National Bowl Champions. Team MVPs were Joey Lodovici, Dawson Ramp, Brock Carpenter and Zach Rawson. The Sportsmanship Award was given to Dalton Reinert.
