A Dillsburg man will start serving prison time today for his involvement in the riots on Jan. 6, 2021 at the nation’s Capitol. Lynn Nester, 57, of Monaghan Township, will join nine other January “Sixers,” as they are known by their supporters, at the Federal Correctional Institution, Fort Dix, N.J. Nester said he will be driving to the facility with a friend. “I plan to take my paperwork,” Nester said, so there is no confusion with what he is serving time for, $300 for the commissary, and possibly his eyeglass- es, “readers.” Nester was sentenced to 10 months in prison on July 19 by Judge Tanya S. Chutkan of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. He was found guilty with entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, violent entry and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building and parad- ing, demonstrating or pick- eting in a Capitol building, according to the judgment.
