DYB crowns Majors champ:
Steve Morret Plumbing & Heating

By Andy Sandrik

vvFollowing upset after upset in the Majors Division playoffs, there was just one team left standing on top of the Dillsburg Youth Baseball mountain.
vvIt wasn't top-seeded ECI, which won the regular-season championship. Not No. 2 Bob Ruth Ford, either. Weaver's of Wellsville, the division's third-best team, also fell short.
vvInstead, the champion was a team that entered the postseason with a 3-5-1 record: Steve Morret Plumbing & Heating. Corey Hull's ballclub rolled up its sleeves and scaled the proverbial mountain with three victories. Morret's topped JPI Insurance 7-3 in the quarterfinals before springing an unlikely 10-0 win over ECI in the semifinals.
vvIt all set the stage for a finals matchup with Bob Ruth Ford. Hull's group didn't shy away from the spotlight, scoring early and often to comfortably take the championship 11-3 over Bob Ruth Ford.

Head Coach Dave Ramsey along with assistant coaches Bill Witt and Jeff Conway continue to build upon the program's success, and with several district and state caliber underclassmen returning, the future bodes well.
