</span>With three 100-match winners each claiming individual titles, Northern turned in a strong showing at last weekend's District 3-3A Section III Tournament in Mechanicsburg.
The Polar Bears qualified seven wrestlers for the next round of the postseason, the District 3/South Central Region Tournament, which begins today in Hershey. Northern got championship performances from Paul Feite (138), Micah Hoffman (145) and Jake Koser (195), while Mitch Wagner (132, 2nd), Liam Strouse (106, 3rd) and Blake Sanchez (285, 3rd) will also be making the trip. Evan Chapman placed fourth at 113 pounds, but is out of districts with an injury.
Thanks to the solid efforts of Northern and their supporting cast, the Polar Bears finished third at sectionals with 159 points, just behind champion Cumberland Valley (175) and Chambersburg (160.5).
"I think we did what we set out to do, which was to get as many kids to districts as we could," Northern Coach Josh Murray said. "They all performed well and wrestled well as a team."
